Common questions about Tikgu.
- Do I need to type anything?
- No. Onboarding is 100% tap-based: sliders, chips, cards, and toggles. You can use an optional search bar later in the dashboard, but the guided flow is input-free.
- How are recommendations generated?
- We use AI (Gemini) with grounded web search to pull real models, specs, and pros/cons. Your answers (budget, use case, priorities) shape the match. Results are cached so we don’t re-fetch the same device repeatedly.
- Are prices and stores accurate?
- We do our best to show local currency and nearby stores. Prices and availability can change; we show “Last checked” and encourage you to confirm on the retailer’s site before buying.
- What’s the difference between Free and Pro?
- Free: limited recommendation runs per month, one shortlist, basic comparisons. Pro: more runs, multiple shortlists, price watch, deeper comparisons, and priority store discovery.
- Can I use Tikgu in my country?
- Yes. We support all countries with localization-ready UI, currency formatting, and region-aware recommendations. Select your country in the header if we don’t detect it.
